in the midst of doing my assignment..I sidetracked (as usual)..n becos I'm just weird tat way or I'm a nerd wadever u tink I am..I ended up at..dictionary.com

yes.............I know u tink I'm mad right =/

but the English language is so fascinating is it not?

here's random words which I nv knew existed n words with difficult pronounciation..

1. Slugabed (slug-a-bed) one who stays in bed until a late hour..so I'm a slugabed

2. donnybrook (donny-brook) a brawl, heated quarrel or dispute

3. volte-face (vault-fast) a reversal, about-face in policy or opinion

4. sobriquet (so-bri-k) a nickname

5. gloaming (glo-ming) twilight, dusk

6. solace (sol-liss) comfort, console, allay (I've been saying SOL-LACE! all tis while..damn)

7. kitsch (kich) art characterised by pretentious bad taste (??? I just saw a famous blog shop using tis word! blah blah blah is a kitschy piece with cute prints etc etc) --> see! the importance of knowing a word b4 using it! n no of cos I'm not going to name the blog I mean I'm not grading anyone on English or anything or wad la I'm just saying tat's all ok! I come in peace..

8. melee (may-ley) hand-to-hand combat, confusion, jumble (I've been saying meeee-lee for ages n ages n ages)

9. chichi (shee-shee) trendy

10. raiment (ray-ment) clothing

n here's some words which are confusing n mixed up etc..

- CaLvary vs CavaLry (I nv knew there was a difference..I always thought it was calvary..hahaha! I went to check..one refers to where Jesus was cruxified while the other is the troops on horseback..)

- the word IRREGARDLESS doesn't exist! becos there already is "-less" in it! so it's already without..like double negative kinda thing..

- pronoun is read as pronoun but pronounciation is read is proNUNciation

- pecan u know the nut is read as pi-can't! why didn't they just spell it tat way then.. O_O

- don't pronounce the L in salmon..say SAM-UN

- forte is only pronounced as fort-tay when referring to music..so when u're saying maths is ur forte..say..FORT

-often is read without its T! say ofen!

-accessory is EK-cessory

- aluminium is el-yer-mi-mium

- hereditary is huh-rad-i-tary

n I tink I should go n slp now n stop being mad..lastly..sword is read as SORD!

hi! I know my blog's been really boring..actually it's always boring cos I dun really do anything interesting..

but..my exams are tis Saturday! n I want nothing less than an A!!!

so these few days I've just been studying n working on my assignment..

I've been majorly insulted THRICE in the past week.

feeling super pent up now but wad to do? also cannot say..

if there's one thing I learnt is the best thing to do in any damned situation is just to KEEP QUIET.

wad's the point of being nice?

ppl just say wadever comes to their mind first. doesn't matter if they hurt ur feelings or wad.

bus incidents! over the weekend..

1. I saw tis weird teenage guy eat his own snot!

eeeeeeeeeeeee.............pick pick pick..sniff sniff..eat..EAT!!! I looked away hastily..weak heart..

2. cute family!

there was tis petite mom with 4 lil children..all around the same age..they were all crying at the same time..her face was just lidat -______-

3 boys n 1 girl..all trying to outcry n outlast one another..whenever one cried..the other echoed it even louder n so on n so forth..

it sounded like a choir..I was so amused..I kept giggling..it was lidat for the entire bus ride..from my house to the interchange..they took the same bus as me again after tat..interchange till I alighted..they wailed n wailed all the way..so poor thing the mom! but her kids were cute la..I smiled at her..I was tinking..if my kids lidat how! O_O better to have rabbits..they dun cry dun scream n shout..a few weeks old only can look after themselves..wash face wash paws..

3. I saw wad looked like a pri 4 kid..sniff the arm of a 18 - 20 year old Malay girl while she was sleeping..many many many times..he kept leaning towards her..sniff..OMG..up n down her arm..her bag..I felt soooooooooo uncomfortable for her I was squirming..luckily she woke up! n she looked at him..after a while he continued! wth sick! n he touched he bag..touched her arm.. O_O she was super sick of him..should have seen her face..he did it like 5+ times! children these days.........





here's wad I did in random order..

I watched Quantum of Solace..afternoon movie..in a long long long time..had dim sum for supper..had a slow n peaceful ride in my bf's family's new car..(can't speed anymore)..cleaned the cage (slave to Muffin)..ate strawberries..got drunk on red wine -_- played Dynasty Warriors which is so fun I wanna play it now..watched vcd n scared myself silly..Roger Kwok looks very psychotic in Last One Standing..v v v nice!

ooh I wore a pink dress on Sun! haven't worn smth colourful in ages! so I camwhored pai seh..bf said I looked as if I was going to the beach..aha! dunno why but I just felt so sunny tat day..nvm tat it was raining.. =PpP

again..haircut in 12 hours! SCARED!

I'm going to the hairdresser on Tuesday! I have no idea wad to do to my hair..it's a mess! n it's dry..not shiny =( n WHY OH WHY am I not born with straight hair..sad lei..if not I sure go cut all kinds of hairstyles..BOOHOO..

my hair's like a mop now..it's long but it's absolutely shapeless..

should I layer it or not??? been tinking about it but I'm afraid it'll get too messy lei..my hair is absolutely unmanageable!!!

when I dunno wad to do with it I just clip it up lidat n just go out..like ah ma! GIVE UP!




or I just push it all to one side cos it's really..................dunno wad to say..it really has to shape right!

n on Friday..I met Sam n Lee Ling! we met at TM..Ling took super long to arrive though she stays just opposite..my god we waited for an hour! she came dressed in highlighter green and yellow!! flourescent lei really..her jacket and her top! Sam laughed..haha!

we went to Ramen Ten to eat..haven't had that for a long time..I love the soup! but mine wasn't spicy enough..we sat there for ages n ages..just slacking..

Sam bought me a gigantic book of crosswords! happy! I love doing puzzles of all sorts..I was at Borders with her a few weeks ago..was it borders? can't remember n I was telling her how I enjoyed doing tis sorta thing n yay! keeps me entertained for ages n ages..

n both of them gave me a purse from Agnes B! the one tat I wanted! I googled it n it's called Agnès b. la Maison sur l’eau Pouch! wad a pretty name too..

walked around after tat..all of us got an item from Astriel! the smock tubes tat I like to wear are from Astriel hee..I got a dress..so did Ling while Sam got a top..actually most dresses end up as tops on her anyway so ya..

dinnertime by then but our lunch was late so..we shared a meal at Macs! the fries are shrinking..how sad..we ordered 2 large fries n they were gone in a flash..

after tat Ling suggested renting a movie since no appealing shows were airing..we decided on Prom Night! since it was Halloween heh..I suggested Hansel & Gretel! but it was met with violent objection =P good thing too..I'm not exactly a horror movie buff..

decided to go over to my place to watch..stopped over at Venus on the way while they picked up more stuff..I resisted!

Prom Night was..scary..but not too much..like..Scream was scarier n more gruesome! but still! I dislike silence n sudden movements..n there were plenty..three of us squeezed together on the sofa..n screamed..luckily only my dad was home..he was wondering wad kinda show we were watching..

FUN DAY!

I went to clean the cage after they left..naughty Muffin! he is so cute! sometimes I tink he's annoyingly cute..I wanna niap his face!









n around 1 am my bf called unexpectedly..

happy! we went for supper! cos he's now.....................in charge of my meals..eating..problem..

Saturday..we went to catch Saw V! it was totally gruesome..right from the beginning..EEEEK..bf could still eat while watching lorh! I dun understand how..it made all my appetite disappear..sick! but ok la..it was good..I can watch gore not horror! I kept gripping on to his arm n covering my face..oops!

after tat..super dingdong I tell u..u'll prolly laugh at me..bf decided to take a diversion..so he gave me $$$ to take a cab back to his place..the cabbie was very nice..ok so I reached his place it was very late already..n look..I just watched Saw!!

so I took the lift..n my wonderful imagination kicked in..aha..so can guess wad happened already right..the lift stops on every level..n I dare not look out..cos I was scared of wad I might see -_- so I looked at the floor..bf stays on the 12th..I WAS VERY SCARED TAT THE LIFT WOULD STOP AT THE 13TH FLOOR LEI!!! HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..I'm a moron..when the lift door opened I rannnnnnnnn along the entire stretch of corridor to his door..cos I was panicking..I couldn't open the door!!! n I kept looking over my shoulder..den suddenly the door swung open n a face appeared at the door..but the lights weren't on! so the face had a glow SO I GASPED really loudly..

it was his mom. HAHA! she asked me wad I was doing..I just "hurhur..no la..I watched a scary show so I'm a bit.............................ahaha"

Sunday..went to Suntec! had my first Pina Colada..so loser hor..from some..wads the name ah..Hawaiian..dunno wad la! very nice couldn't stop drinking.. haha..I picked up B.Liv Glow n Shine! finally! I actually saw it on Sat but I resisted..in the end..fail..I love their products! I shall rave about it another day ok..wait one more week to see if it's really so super..though I already tink it's working..WHOOHOO..

Monday..CRAMPS..most painful period in my life..dull ache everywhere..my feet..my hands..all numb..n my hips..wahhhhhhhh..pain radiating out from the sides..I almost passed out while I was bathing..I kept squatting down..bathed as quickly as I could n rushed out of the toilet..then I wanted to puke! grabbed a plastic bag..n sat down on the floor feeling dizzy..so I called my bf! he was so nice..took half day leave n came back to look after me! he bought me chicken porridge n pink panadol..n rubbed oil on my tummy! I slept for the whole day..felt way better in the evening..thank goodness! yay! I love my bf! (:
